Continual abuse of our earth's ecosystems has resulted in a web of
interrelated problems that both threaten and endanger the habitats that
numerous organisms depend upon for sustenance. Barring drastic
change many of our earth's ecosystems are not sustainable and will continue to
decline. By continuing to foster the mentality of a disposable
society, we are faced with the widespread destruction of our earth's
habitats, our species habitat. Scientific discovery has provided enormous
insight into the ways in which our earth's systems interrelate and coexist.
As we evolve and develop an increasing awareness of the numerous
problems associated with the exploitation of our earth, we are faced with
the question of how each of us can contribute to helping sustain our
environment and natural resources while limiting further degradation of our
earth's habitats. One of the primary ways of helping bring about a positive
change that will provide for the needs of a rapidly growing population while
nurturing and providing for the needs of our environment is through
supporting legislation that takes both of these systems into consideration
without giving way to the many agendas that predominately cater to the needs
and desires of a select few. Don't walk around in silence. Make your voice

Promotion
and participation in both local and state conservation programs, national parks,
and organizations is recommended. Most importantly, remember to show gratitude
for the people who work hard towards securing our natural resources, attaining a
sustainable environment, providing protection for wildlife, and implementing
competent policies
that will foster ecosystem integrity.
